- Plan work in the Rail Corridor
- Use the Lookout Working method of work
- Use the Absolute Signal Blocking (ASB) method of work
- Take appropriate safety precautions when operating under Lookout Working or ASB track protection rules
- Manage unsafe situations or emergencies when implementing track protection
- Take appropriate safety precautions when walking in the Danger Zone
- Use approved communication procedures
- Take appropriate safety precautions when near electrical infrastructure
Entry Requirements

- TLIF2080 or TLIF0020 – Safely access the rail corridor SX52 Accessing the Rail Corridor
- TLIF0008 – Apply safety critical communications in the rail environment (TfNSW)
- Current Category 1 Medical Assessment
Language Literacy and Numeracy (LL&N)

Participants undergo an assessment prior to commencement of training which assists us to identify any learning support which may be required. This course requires participants to have language, literacy and numeracy skill levels to be able to:
- Read and understand work safety signs and symbols
- Read and understand workplace policies, procedures and information
- Understand basic spoken English
- Communicate basic safety-related information

Medical Requirement
CAT 1 Medical
This is the highest level of rail medical available and is for rail workers or contractors undertaking a safety critical role requiring a high level of attentiveness to their tasks and where sudden incapacity may result in a serious incident affecting the public or the rail network.
