  • TLID0020 – Shift materials safely using manual handling methods
  • TLIE1003 – Participate in basic workplace communication
  • TLIF0025 – Follow work health and safety procedures
  • TLIF2010 – Apply fatigue management strategies
  • TLIU2008 – Apply environmental procedures to rail infrastructure


Group A: Track Work

  • TLIB2085 – Apply track fundamentals
  • TLIB2092 – Operate minor mechanical equipment
  • TLIF0020 – Safely access the rail corridor
  • TLIS2030 – Carry out track ballasting
  • TLIS2031 – Install railway sleepers
  • TLIS2034 – Install and repair rail fastening systems
  • TLIS2044 – Carry out rail installation


General Elective Units

  • TLIB1093 – Clean equipment and restore worksite
  • TLIB2097 – Install and maintain guard rails
  • TLIB2121 – Maintain rail joints
  • TLIG0003 – Work effectively with others in a team

Language Literacy and Numeracy (LL&N)


Participants undergo an assessment prior to commencement of training which assists us to identify any learning support which may be required. This course requires participants to have language, literacy and numeracy skill levels to be able to:

  • Read and understand work safety signs and symbols
  • Read and understand workplace policies, procedures and information
  • Understand basic spoken English
  • Communicate basic safety-related information

  • Onsite practical experience
