NSW Adjust Rail
Overview
This course involves the skills and knowledge required to adjust rail in accordance with safeworking and regulatory requirements, and workplace procedures. It includes identifying and determining the requirements for rail adjustment, undertaking rail adjustment, and completing all required documentation.

Certificates
Upon successful completion of all assessments, students will receive:
Statement of Attainment (Nationally Recognised)

- Adjust rail
Topics
The following topics are covered within this course:
- Identifying and determining the requirements for rail adjustment
- Undertaking rail adjustment
- Completing all required documentation in accordance with safeworking and regulatory requirements and workplace procedures
Entry Requirements
Including Language Literacy and Numeracy (LL&N):
- Read and understand work safety signs and symbols
- Read and understand workplace policies and procedures
- Communicate identified hazards and necessary instructions
- hold current Category 3 rail medical
- provide 100 points of identification on the day of the course
- must hold:
- TfNSW SX52 Accessing the Rail Corridor or
- ARTC National Track Safety Awareness (NTSA)
Assessment Methods
The following assessment methods are used within this course:
- Theory assessment
- On-the-job workbook
- Practical assessment (conducted once on-the-job workbook completed successfully)
Delivery Method
- This course is facilitated via face to face workshop (3 days) and work-based learning
Recertification
The Certificate of Achievement for adjust rail is valid for two (2) years from issue. Once the two (2) years are up, students will need to return to CERT and complete a recertification to keep their competencies current.
