TfNSW Track Protection Officer Level 2
Building on the foundational competencies gained in Level 1, this course focuses on more advanced aspects of track protection, such as implementing the Track Occupancy Authority (TOA), working within the Local Possession Authority (LPA), and piloting rail traffic within protected zones.
Participants will develop expertise in assessing worksite risks, compiling protection plans, and ensuring the safety of workers within the rail corridor.
Upon completion, track workers will be equipped to handle a higher level of responsibility in protecting worksites, with a focus on preventing rail traffic from entering work areas, securing tracks and points, maintaining safe separation between rail safety workers and machinery and the integrity of rail infrastructure.
The course provides a foundational pathway for career progression within the TfNSW Network, starting from Track Force Protection Coordinator Level 1 and progressing to Level 4.
