Overview
This course involves the skills and knowledge required to conduct construction skid steer loader operations. This will include planning and preparing for work, operating the loader, load, carry and place materials, select, remove and fit attachments, preparing to relocate the roller, carrying out machine operator maintenance and housekeeping activities.

Entry Requirements
Including Language Literacy and Numeracy (LL&N):
Participants will undergo an LL&N assessment at the commencement of the course. This course requires participants to have LL&N levels to be able to:
- Numeracy skills to locate and recognise numbers commonly used in safety signs
- Read and follow simple pictorial safety instructions
- Read and follow simple safety instructions that are written in English
- Communication skills to ask questions to clarify instructions
- Listen to instructions to identify key safety information
- Communication skills to tell another person about a construction problem or hazard
