This course is designed for Queensland Rail employees who need to perform RCPO duties. It provides training to help participants plan work in the rail corridor outside the danger zone, establish a worksite using the appropriate protection level requirements, and determine the equipment required for the selected protection level.

Any contractor conducting duties as a rail corridor protection officer in Queensland Rail's network corridor
Rail workers performing the RCPO role, do not work in the danger zone.
Monitoring: 3, 6 & 12 months for first time qualified and then annually from date of first being qualified.
Reaccreditation: 3 years – field practical assessment and collection of evidence to confirm monitoring events have been maintained.
If not, full retraining is required.

Medical Requirement
CAT 3 Medical
A Category 3 Medical is an assessment designed to help non-safety critical workers make sure their health and fitness does not impact the rail network. The CAT 3 Medical tests your ability to operate safely in the rail corridor so you can hear instructions, move to a safe place, and maintain an awareness of your surroundings.
