Be prepared to take action when every second counts.
This nationally recognised unit equips participants with the practical skills and knowledge to respond effectively to workplace fire incidents using first attack firefighting equipment.
You’ll learn how to assess fire situations, select and use appropriate firefighting equipment, and safely contain or control fires before they escalate — whether working onshore, offshore, or in other high-risk environments.
Designed for personnel in hydrocarbon, petrochemical, and major hazard facilities, this course applies to anyone who may need to take immediate action in the event of a fire, beyond simply evacuating.
Participants will gain confidence in handling minor fire incidents, supporting emergency response procedures, and coordinating effectively with team members and control room operators.

Participants undergo an assessment prior to commencement of training which assists us to identify any learning support which may be required. This course requires participants to have language, literacy and numeracy skill levels to be able to:
- Read and understand work safety signs and symbols
- Read and understand workplace policies, procedures and information
- Understand basic spoken English
- Communicate basic safety-related information
