Advance Your Career with RISSB-Endorsed Rail Courses from CERT
As Australia’s rail network continues to evolve, so too does the need for skilled professionals who can lead, investigate, and manage with confidence. CERT Training is helping meet this demand through a suite of nationally recognised Rail Professional Development courses, each endorsed by the Rail Industry Safety and Standards Board (RISSB).
Tailored for both new entrants and experienced professionals, CERT’s programs build technical skills and leadership capabilities while supporting the national goals of driving rail industry interoperability, safety, and performance. Through real-world learning and workplace-based assessment, participants gain competencies aligned with best-practice rail industry standards and the evolving needs of the national rail reform agenda.
Endorsement by RISSB—a not-for-profit, accredited Standards Development Organisation (SDO) for the Australian and New Zealand rail industry—underscores the relevance and quality of these programs.
RISSB develops national standards, codes of practice, guidelines, and rules to harmonise safety practices for rail transport operators and rail safety workers across passenger, freight, and light rail networks. Its frameworks shape how operators manage risk, conduct investigations, and foster a just culture within a challenging regulatory environment.
With that foundation, CERT’s RISSB-endorsed courses are recognised across the sector as credible, high-quality, and nationally aligned.
